Bore da @BobQ1, Molly has settled in nicely and I have grown to accept her as an invaluable post stroke companion.

Good for you. I lost my last dog back in '94. Broke my heart when he died. I swore we’d not have another because I found the loss so painful. Now, I wouldn’t put my wife through the task of looking after a dog as well as me.
Maybe when I get better and I can run with the dog, chase squirrels with him/her, or bury bones I may re-consider.
