Do you go to counselling to help you come to terms with changes in your life ? Has this helped ? My local hospital has such a long waiting list and it’s not a stroke counsellor.

I have used a counsellor and found it be an enormous help towards my recovery. Mine was a stroke specialist and I think thats pretty much essential. Your GP staff will have details of whats available. In my case our village church has an amazing array of help.
My speech therapist acted as a counsellor to me and when I needed more help, she arranged CBT with the psychologist at the local hospital.

Is it feesable for you to do private counselling? If not, there may be some local charities that offer counselling for free or for a small donation in your local area.
