Sorry for the late reply. I hope that you are okay. My stroke was caused by AF, but I had no idea that I was at risk. I was not on blood thinners, so I was at risk. I suggest that management of AF is really important. Blood thinners have risks, but I would not be without them.

On the report sent to your doctor, these are impossible to read for non medics. My doctor was no help at all. My sister is a nurse. She asked a colleague to give their interpretation of the medical report. This was invaluable.

I find that regular exercise, physical and mental, helps a lot to build up stamina and thought processes. My sister emphasised the importance of taking the medication at regular intervals, at the same time every day. Reducing the booze seems to help. Low Alcohol beer has improved a lot!
