Wearing scarf to help with food spills

Hi everyone. I am four years post stroke . At eighty four years old I have solved the problem for me of messy spillages of my food when struggling to eat or drink with only only one hand. I now wear a gaily coloured light weight scarf which is easily washed in stead of having to wash my stained sweater so frequently. Has anyone else had this problem? Lilian.

@l_platt your doing amazing Lillian . I do sometimes spill food on my chest but I blame my boobs :joy::joy::joy: not sure if I’m supposed to say that.
Like your idea if a thin scarf kinda like a giant napkin. Keep going and happy new year to you :partying_face::partying_face:

@l_platt Hi Lilian

I like that idea. I might have to try that on hubhy. He’s a very messy eater & he can use both hands :woozy_face::woozy_face:

Happy new year.

All the time. I just wear an old fleece and change it before I go out or have visitors. Soup is the worst for spillage and drips.

I do the same, brightens me up to have brightly coloured ones on, and they don’t show the stains so badly!!!

It is the hole in my lower lip that causes that problem with which I am also plagued.

A solution to the problem is just what I have been looking for. So, many thanks, Lilian.

I won’t need to hide in a corner any more, proudly, chest held high, I will move forward with dignity restored.

Keep on keepin’ on
