Understanding Experiences of Stroke Survivors Providing Care

Very little is known about what it is like to continue to care for a family member after having a stroke, we would like to hear from stroke survivors who care for one or more family members to better understand your experience.

We hope that by developing a better understanding of your experiences we can help services to better assess and meet the needs of carers like you.

Who is this For?
We are looking for adult female stroke survivors providing at least 5 hours of unpaid care per week for one or more family members.

You will need to have had your stroke at least 12 months ago and been providing care for at least 12 months before your stroke.

What will it involve?
This study involves completing an online survey, which takes between 10 and 20 minutes to complete.

At the end of this survey, you will have the option to sign up for possible invitation to a more in-depth interview about your experiences, via telephone or Microsoft Teams.

Please access the survey here.

We’re particularly keen to hear from women who identify as being part of the LGBTQ+ community or other minoritised groups.
