Travel after Stroke

I have just returned from 5 days away visiting my 91 year old mother. Yes, it was hard work keeping up with her and yes, even travel as a passenger was tiring (we did the return journey in a day and it took just over 12 hours) but it was lovely to see her and my daughter (who drove) and my lovely little granddaughters were fabulous. I may well spend today in bed but it was a very good experience.

Fantastic @FionaB1 I’m so pleased to hear you enjoyed your time away, seeing family is always good, even if it’s tiring :grinning:

You go and enjoy that well earned rest, 12 hours travelling in a car is long time for anyone.

@FionaB1 great you got to see your family. I also find being a passenger in a vehicle tiring. Only managed short (20 mins or so) journeys so far. Big respect to you for doing 12 hrs in one day. Hope you enjoyed the well earned rest afterwards

I fully expect to be tired (more so than usual) for at least a week but it was worth it
