Blown over, got caught unaware by a stiff breeze transferring from car to house and didn’t realise how poor my balance was when the wind blew, last time it had been a problem was as a child , which puts it all in perspective a stroke makes you a child again. Felt a bit glum but learnt a lesson.
Oh no hope you’re ok and not too shaken up. I must admit I really struggle when it’s windy. It’s blowing a gail here in Kent today.
Regards Sue
@mrfrederickson i hope you’re ok. I too got caught unawares the other day. Thankfully I managed to stay on my feet but I did curtail my walk & head back home again.
Take it easy x
Yes bleated to my wife who steadied me until I could compensate for the gust once inside all well
Mark its Friday abd youve been working so tiredness could dlso be playing a part in your bdjdnce being a bit awry.
Feet up and chill is the best medicine now youre safely inside and a big hug for Mrs F x
Yes she is my guardian angel as soon as I squeaked she steadied my standing position and I made it in to the front door, at least the week has ended more work on Monday, time sheet creation.
Hopefully the next two days are fine wish you all a great weekend.
I shall show this to my daughter who encouraged me to go out on my stroller in the wind today despite me protesting. She said you’re a big, strong woman you won’t get blown away. That was not what I was afraid of it was my balance. I didn’t go far because I was nervous, and your post seconds my opinion!
You were right it’s not worth the risk a fall outside is bad no soft landing, follow your instincts they are usually good
@mrfrederickson that’s not good, so pleased to hear your wife was with you and assisted, so no damage sustained
Thanks sue west Yorkshire has gone back to wet and breezy weather so hopefully the sun will come back. Hope Kent is nicer today
I’ve cleared the psychological barrier by getting back into the house with no dramas after a trip to the garden centre.
I had to do it to banish my ghosts, all good now.
Hi Lorraine,
The sun is breaking through, light wind and no rain so not took bad. Cumbria is as renowned for its rainfall as is the Pennines, not always Happy Valley but sometimes.
