For some reasons only known to my brain my left arm is spasmsing links to my left leg providing pain and discomfort.
Feeling like the earliest day just out of hospital
The impairment is hard but sustained levels of discomfort are hard to cope with, pain relief is next to useless even the new medication is not helping.
My weak side, the leg in particular, can begin to feel very uncomfortable, and then extremely painful spasms begin to occur. I can and will bear it. It isn’t like that all the time, but it’s always around. Seems to be when I am settled for a bit.
I don’t know if I am deluding myself, but I tell myself it is the nerves trying to get back into contact with the brain and hopefully it is part of the repair process. If that is the case then I wouldn’t want to try to stop it.
Get some rest, be brave and try to be stronger. We can grow into better. At least I tell myself so.
I have been suffering random stuff too. Last night pain down my good leg especially the knee.
I think it’s in part compensations from the bad side not working properly put extra strain on things. Be nice to think that it was the result of the healing process and maybe it is so a thought to hold on to
Hope you’re all feeling better soon
Thanks Bobbi, a nights rest has brought back my normal position, I blame it on my awning causing involuntary arm contractions and facial pain. Just the joy of stroke recovery.
