I had my haemorrhaging stroke at Christmas! Recovery is painfully slow! Some movement has returned to my affected leg! But I am scared to get my hopes upas so scared of having another stroke!!
Jane. When I had my post stroke review the consultant said to me 'Although you are not yet the person you were, remember to be the person you are now'. That has stuck with me. Yes, progress is very slow, but five years ago, I couldn't stand, walk, or use my left arm and hand. Today, I have had my two short walks, sat in the garden on a lovely day, Cooked our main meal and laid up for tomorrow's breakfast. Every day is a challenge and fear still lingers, but I have a decent life now. Please battle your fears and move forward.
