Hi Garry @mealand66 whilst I can’t answer your query, the Stroke I had was in a different area, I just wanted to welcome you to the forum.
Hopefully someone will be along soon that can share their experience.
Best wishes

Welcome @mealand66
The search box is good resource for digging through previous on topic posts I searched “vision” and got 50+ hits.
have u still got vision loss, n thanks for replying
Hi Gary, Loss of vision and perceptual issues are slightly different. Loss of vision - if this improves within the first month it is a good sign, but if it does not it may be permamnent. It would worth asking your GP to refer you to opthalmology. Wishing you all the best. Kusal
thanks, iv lost my peripheral for driving, but i have been told by the stroke team it could return as when it 1st happened it was just all dark n no light getting in but now i have so lighter areas in the eye n i can see some light if itts shined towards me, but thanks all for spme useful insights its much appreciated
@mealand66 Hi Garry & welcome to the forum. I had an occipital lobe stroke which gave me lots of lovely flashing lines in front of my eyes & also took everything off centre. The lines disappeared after a few weeks & slowly things moved back to where they should be. 18 months on i still have some double vision & blurred vision. Hopefully yours will start to improve. If you’ve not been referred to opthalmology it would be worth asking your GP to do it.
Best wishes
Ann
