Hello everyone,
It was getting towards the end of the first week and the doctors were all in agreement that I should stay longer,maybe 3-4 days more (and another few thousand Euros!). Nooo I thought, must try and get back to Blighty at all costs. I arranged to be picked up on Saturday evening, to be whisked through the tunnel. All I had to do was to convince the doctors. After lots and lots of chatting , I eventually managed to convince them,I even got copies of all my medical notes, I was all set for a getaway.I still had very limited vision, so it was fairly difficult to go along various corridors and down six flights of stairs, but I managed to make it outside for my journey back.
Next time, back in Blighty!
