Hi how soon is it safe to fly after a stroke?

I think whenever you feel safe. I flew 3 weeks after, but that was repatriation from the US.

Hi, when I was in hospital after my stroke I was told to wait for 6 months before flying. I actually waited for 2 years, until I felt confident about travelling abroad, my main fear was becoming unwell whilst abroad. I’m pleased to say that everything was fine and we are actually taking our 3rd trip to Spain in a couple of weeks.

I was told not for a month. I have just flown 5 1/2 mths after stroke. I did check with my GP first to ensure there was no reason I couldn’t.
