My husband had a bad stroke 18months ago but affecting his right arm and leg badly -he has made amazing progress but has been left with bad foot drop which makes walking difficult -does anyone have any suggestions as to what has worked for this -he has a couple of different splints
Hi Terry, My area funds FES machines which are wonderful for drop foot. The machines send anvelectric current through the calf which raises the dropped foot. My walking improved to the point where I handed the machine back. A second minor stroke brought the drop foot back and my Community Stroke Team got me and ankle/foot support from Orliman based in Cardiff. I have just bought myself a second one.
