hi all was woundering if any one has had a tattoo after stroke I’m on clopidogrel and was woundering if it was safe enough to have a tattoo while taking it iv found a tattooist who will do my design but could do with some advise on weather it’s a good idea or not

That's a good question. I've been planning a tattoo for a little while now but didn't think it would be an issue. If you could let me know the advice you get that'd be great, Lindsay.
Iv has 2 tattoos and on oth I didn't bleed even tho I'm on blood thinners

I am also on Clopidogrel and have wondered the same question.
From what I have researched when on anti-platelet medication a tattoo will take a lot longer to heal than normal as it won't form a scab over it as easily. Also I think it could be very messy for the tattoo artist so just to be safe I would double check with your doctor and let the tattoo artist know too.
