Bilateral stroke

Hi, my mother-in-law aged 88 has very recently - two weeks ago - suffered a bilateral stroke.  She has quite severe communication problems, which I belive is Asphasia, but no physical problems.  She was very frail before the stroke and walked with a walker and she is still able to do that but gets very confused and recently, very angry at being asked to name pictures which she deemed were for babies.  I know nothing about bilateral strokes and would be really grateful if anyone can shed some light on this.  The hospital have been amazing but they're obviously very busy so I don't want to keep asking questions! We would be very grateful for any information.  Thank you. Barbara
